This checklist covers everything you need to complete before your first guest message goes out. Work through it in order, because each step depends on the one before it.
Your Bookboost account has already been created by our team. If you have not received your login credentials, contact your assigned Onboarding Specialist or support@bookboost.io.
Step 1. Log in and set up your profile
Set your display name before you start handling conversations, so your teammates can see who is replying.
Step 2. Connect your PMS
Your Property Management System is the source of all reservation and guest data in Bookboost. Nothing works properly until this is connected.
Follow the guide for your PMS:
Most PMS integrations require action from Bookboost before they go live. If your PMS is not listed here, contact support and we will set it up with you.
Step 3. Set up your email channel
Email is the foundation channel and must be active before any campaign can be sent.
See Email Settings.
Step 4. Invite your team
Add your colleagues as operators and give each of them a role that matches their job.
Step 5. Configure your inbox
Set up teams, assignment rules, and the inbox views your team will work from every day.
See Inbox Settings.
Step 6. Connect additional channels
Once email is working, you can add other channels. Each one is optional, so pick the ones that match how your guests already contact you.
Step 7. Set up guest consent
Required before you can send any marketing campaign. Guests without consent are silently skipped, so a campaign can look like it sent successfully while reaching almost nobody.
Step 8. Send your first campaign
With the steps above complete, you are ready to send. A Broadcast is the simpler place to start: it goes once, to an audience you define, at a moment you choose. A Journey runs continuously and triggers off reservation events, so it is worth setting up second.
