Bookboost campaigns cannot attach a PDF to an email. To get an invoice, welcome letter, or guide to a guest, you put a download link in the body of the message instead. The link is usually token-based, so each guest receives the document that belongs to their reservation rather than a shared file.
What this is useful for
Sending a guest invoice or folio after check-out, for example through the Apaleo integration.
Sending a registration form or terms and conditions before arrival.
Providing a local area guide or information pack during the pre-arrival journey.
Delivering booking confirmations or vouchers as downloadable documents.
How to add a download link
Open CRM from the left menu.
Open the Journey or Broadcast you want to edit, or create a new one.
Write the body of the email as usual.
Insert a hyperlink where the download button or link text should appear.
Set the link URL to the token or dynamic URL from your PMS or integration, for example an Apaleo invoice download token.
Save, then send yourself a preview to confirm the link resolves correctly.
Activate or schedule the campaign.
Using token-based links with your PMS
If your PMS supports dynamic document links, such as Apaleo's invoice download URLs, you can put the token straight into the hyperlink URL field and Bookboost resolves it per guest when the message sends.
Check with your PMS provider whether dynamic document link tokens are available for your integration. Not every PMS offers them.
What this does not do
You cannot attach a file to a campaign email. There is no attachment option, and uploading a PDF to Bookboost does not create one.
A link is only as good as the document behind it. If the PMS document is not generated yet at the moment the campaign sends, the guest gets a link to nothing, so check the timing of your trigger against when the document becomes available.
Getting help
Open Talk to Us in the left menu of the platform, or email support@bookboost.io. Tell us which PMS you use and which document you are trying to send.
