A guest profile holds everything Bookboost knows about one guest record: who the guest is, what they have booked, what your team has said to them, and what you have noted about them. It opens on General info, with eight further tabs across the top, so most questions about a guest can be answered without leaving the profile.
Profile or Master Profile?
A profile is one guest record from one source: a PMS booking, a digital reception submission, a manual entry. It is where details are edited and where tags, consents and notes live.
A Master Profile is the read-only view that links a guest's records together, and it has its own screen. See Master Profile. This article is about the individual profile.
Where to find it
Go to Profiles in the left menu and open Guests.
Find the guest, using search or filters. See The Guests list.
Select the guest's name.
The profile header shows the guest's name, their tags, and a Sub-profile of link through to their Master Profile.
What is on General info
General info is the guest's record, in five parts.
Personal information. Name, primary and other email addresses, primary and other phone numbers, language, address, postcode, city, and country. A guest can hold more than one address or number, and Show all emails expands the full list.
Additional information. Nationality, birthday, salutation, gender, classifications, company, ID, and the guest's UUID.
Loyalty. Any loyalty programme the guest belongs to.
Channels and Consents. The channels you hold details for, and the guest's status for each consent you have created. See Guest consent statuses.
Guest tags. The labels your team has put on this guest. See Guest tags.
Most of these fields are read-only, because your PMS is the source of record. For which ones you can change by hand and what happens when a field is locked, see Editing a guest profile.
What each of the other tabs holds
Tickets. The conversations with this guest, as tickets, newest first.
Activity. A timeline of what has happened on the guest's current journey, for example an expected check-in or a transaction with its receipt.
Notes. What your team has written about the guest, with a date filter and a Note button to add one. See Add a note to a guest profile.
Tasks. Work attached to this guest, grouped as To Do, In Progress and Done.
Reservations. Every reservation on this record, with booking reference, status, dates, property, room, number of guests, and total gross amount.
Campaigns. What the guest has been sent, filterable by Journeys and Broadcasts.
Submissions. The forms this guest has submitted.
Reports. The guest's stay history as figures rather than a list: total stays, filtered by past, current or future, over a date range you choose.
What you can do from the header
Send message opens a conversation with the guest.
Send journey sends the guest a Journey campaign. For a WhatsApp Journey, including which campaigns appear in the list and the 24-hour window that has to be open, see Send a WhatsApp campaign via the Inbox.
The three dots hold three actions: Merge, for combining this record with another (see Merge two guest profiles), Anonymize guest, for an erasure request (see Anonymise a guest), and Go to conversation.
What this does not do
It is one record, not the whole guest. If the same person exists as more than one profile, each has its own tabs, tags, consents and notes. The Master Profile is where you see them together.
It does not show what came from where. The profile shows the values it holds. To see which record contributed which detail, use the Master Profile.
Editing is limited. PMS-synced fields are locked, and correcting them means correcting them in the PMS.
