Three things on a guest profile can be edited by hand: name, email address, and phone number. Everything else is read-only.
And there is a condition on those three. If the field was synced from your PMS, it is locked, and you will see "You cannot edit externally synced info." Correct it in the PMS instead and it will come across on the next sync.
Editing a profile
Go to Profiles in the left menu.
Find the guest and open their profile.
Under General Info, edit the name, email address, or phone number.
Save.
You can add more than one email address and more than one phone number. There is no limit, so a guest who uses a personal address for leisure stays and a work address for business trips can carry both.
When to edit rather than something else
A typo made at check-in. Fix it here if the field is editable, in the PMS if it is not.
A guest gives you a second contact detail. Add it rather than replacing the first.
A wrong email address that keeps bouncing. Correcting it also resets the address's reachable flag, so the guest becomes contactable again. See Automatic exclusion of hard-bounced email addresses.
Two records for the same person. Editing will not fix that. See Merge two guest profiles.
What this does not do
Only name, email, and phone are editable. Nationality, birthdate, document details and the rest cannot be changed here at all.
PMS-synced fields are locked. This is deliberate: your PMS is the source of record, and an edit here would be overwritten on the next sync anyway.
Editing does not remove a duplicate. Correcting a second record's email to match the first leaves you with two records that now look identical.
It does not change consent. Adding an email address does not create permission to market to it. See Consent management essentials.
What to do next
If the same guest appears more than once, the profile to edit may not be the one you think. See Master Profile for how records are linked together.
