Choosing what to send

A decision-helper for picking the right Huggg Payouts product based on what your recipient needs. Covers Delivered Goods vs Vouchers, scenario-based guidance, and links to deeper articles for energy, cash and appliances.

Huggg Payouts offers a range of products to support recipients in different situations. This article helps you pick the right one. If you already know which product you want, jump to the relevant section below. If you're not sure, work through the questions on this page.

First decision: Delivered Goods or Vouchers?

Start by asking what your recipient needs: a specific item, or money and credit to spend themselves.

Delivered Goods. Pick this when your recipient needs the thing itself, like a washing machine, a winter warmth pack, or furniture. You choose the item from the catalogue, your recipient enters their delivery address when they open the link, and our supply partner delivers it.

Vouchers. Pick this when you're giving your recipient money, credit, or a choice of where to spend. They open a link, pick their shop or payment option if the voucher offers a choice, then use the voucher themselves. Depending on the type, they spend it in a shop, online, by phone, or at a Post Office or PayPoint counter.

By recipient need

Find the scenario closest to what your recipient needs. The Delivered Goods and Vouchers mechanics above apply to each one.

Energy or utility help. For gas, electricity, water, or off-grid fuel like heating oil, send an Energy and Water voucher. The right product (PayPoint, Post Office, Energy Card, or OneLink Energy) depends on how your recipient pays. See Which energy voucher should I send? for a full comparison.

Cash in hand. When your recipient just needs cash, send a Cash voucher. The right product (PayPoint, Post Office, ATM, or OneLink Cash) depends on the amount and how they prefer to collect. See Which cash voucher should I send? for a full comparison.

Food or groceries. For food shopping, takeaways, or coffee, send a Food voucher. Recipients pick from supermarkets, takeaways, and coffee shops. You can limit which brands are available using Customise choices when you send.

An item delivered. For a specific physical item like a washing machine, fridge, cooker, kettle, microwave, or furniture, send from White Goods or Furniture and Home Goods. See Sending an appliance: what you need to know before sending.

Household basics. For general home essentials, send a Home voucher. Recipients spend on household items at supported retailers.

Children's needs. For school uniform, stationery, holiday activities, or other support for children, send a Children's Activities and Support voucher.

Winter warmth. For thermal clothing, insulation, or warmth packs, send a Keeping Warm item. This is a Delivered Good, shipped directly to your recipient.

Clothing, footwear, transport, or other. For everything else, browse Other Voucher Collections to see what's available.
