To assign an item to a virtual container, follow this procedure:

Is the X'Store compatible with X'Tower/X'Locker?
✅ The X'Store is compatible with X'Locker and X'Sling.
❌ However, it cannot be used with smart units such as X'Tower or X'Smart.
Is it possible to restrict access to virtual rooms and containers?
❌ It is not possible to directly restrict access to a specific virtual room or container.
✅ However, you can block access to a virtual container by using a “Container” type permission and denying access to the X'Store.
⚠️ This will block access to the entire X'Store, not just one specific room or container.

What is the maximum size of a virtual container?
The maximum size of a virtual container is 10 x 10.
How many rooms can be created per X'Store?
You can create up to 5 rooms per X'Store.
How many virtual containers can be created per room?
You can create up to 10 virtual containers per room.
Is it possible to change the name of a room or a virtual container?
Yes, the name of a room can be edited. It can be chosen during the room creation process or modified later.
However, it is not possible to rename a virtual container. The virtual container will automatically adopt the name of the room and be assigned a number. For example, if the room “SAM” is created and a virtual container is added, it might be named “SAM-145”. This name cannot be customized.
Can the layout of rooms be modified in STS?
Yes, it is absolutely possible to modify the arrangement of virtual containers within a room using STS.
To do so:
Log in to STS and go to your room’s page by clicking the "eye" icon ("View").
Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will then see the layout modification interface, as shown in the example below.
Click and hold the left mouse button on the container you want to move, then release it once the container is positioned in the desired location.
Don’t forget to click the “Save” button at the bottom right of the screen to save your changes.
How to print X'Store labels?
You can print X'Store labels listing the locations of your virtual containers to help users navigate more easily. These labels are in OS43436 format.
To print them:
Go to the page of your room.
Click on “Download Labels” as shown in the example below. A PDF file will be generated automatically.
Do X'Store labels refer to items or locations?
X'Store labels refer to the locations of your virtual containers. They do not refer to individual items.
Can Click & Collect be used with the X'Store?
Yes, Click & Collect can be used with X'Store. The configuration via STS is exactly the same. For more information, refer to the following procedure: Click & Collect | SAM OUTILLAGE
How to open the X'Store hatch?
The X'Store hatch can be opened in two ways:
Via the machine's screen (by pressing the “Open Hatch” button).
Using the latch located inside the X'Store. To do this, open the machine door with the keys, then operate the latch located at the bottom left of the compartment to open the hatch.
How to connect child containers (X'Locker, X'Sling...) to my X'Store?
To connect child containers to your X'Store, use the RJ45 ports located on the top of the unit, as highlighted in the image below.
Note: The RJ45 port on the right is reserved for the internet connection and cannot be used to connect containers.
What is the purpose of the X'Store hatch?
The X'Store hatch is used to store the key(s) for the rooms whose access is managed by the X'Store. The hatch can be opened by the user directly on the machine when retrieving items.
Does the X'Store support reference tracking?

Is it possible to take one item from the X'Store and another from the X'Locker in a single pickup?
Yes, it is entirely possible to retrieve one item from a room managed by your X'Store and another from the X'Locker connected to it. Simply add both items to your cart. The X'Locker will open first, followed by the X'Store so you can retrieve the second item.
