Creating a room is essential for using X'Store. To get started, log in to STS.

Then find your X'Store in the list of your containers and click on ‘View’.

Once on the X'Store page, click the “Add a room” button. As a reminder, the maximum number of rooms per X'Store is five.

Next, enter the name of your room. Please note that room names can be customised, but the names of virtual containers cannot. Then confirm.

Your room is now created. See the next section to find out more about creating virtual containers and arranging them.

Once your room has been created, you can add up to 10 virtual containers to it. Return to the page for your newly created room and click on “Add a custom storage container”.

You can then choose the number of rows and columns for your virtual container. Please note that the maximum size is 10 x 10, i.e. 100 compartments in total.

Your virtual container is now created. You can view the number of cells and print labels showing the locations within your container.

To customise the layout of the containers in your room, go to your room’s page and scroll right to the bottom until you reach this interface.

To move your virtual container to where you want it, hold down the left mouse button on it and drag it using your mouse. Once you’ve moved it to the right spot, release the left mouse button. You can also enlarge or shrink your container using the arrows in its corners.

Don’t forget to click the ‘Save’ button to save your changes.

You have now changed the layout of your room by moving your virtual containers. To find out more about configuring your virtual containers, see the next section.

To change the configuration of your virtual container and add items to it, go to the page for the room where the container is located. Then, click on ‘Add a blank configuration’ or ‘Duplicate the current configuration’ depending on whether you want to start from scratch or not.

You can then assign items to the various slots using the options at the top of the screen.

Let’s take an example. Left-click to select the boxes to which you wish to assign the same item. Here, we want to reserve the entire top row for a single item. Once selected, click on “Update selected area”.

A menu will then open, allowing you to choose which item you wish to assign to these boxes, the colour of the boxes and the quantity allocated per box.

Once you have entered the item and the quantities, click on “Confirm” to confirm your changes. Your configuration will then be updated.

You can continue assigning items or finish by sending the configuration to the X’Store by clicking the “Send to STM” button. You can then confirm the new configuration by clocking in on the machine and clicking “Update available content”. The new configuration will then be adopted by the X’Store.

The X’Store labels, which can be downloaded from the STS, are used to indicate the locations of your virtual container. You can download them from the page for the room in which your virtual container is located. Opposite each container, you will have the option to download the labels as shown below.

These labels indicate locations only, not items. They are in OS43426 format.
