The X'STORE dispenser is specifically designed to optimize access to and management of your equipment, tools, and consumables in a secured storage room. Integrated with the SAM TOOL MANAGER software, it allows you to digitize your storeroom by using a badge to access the storage area, create a multi-item basket, and retrieve products within seconds.
Connected to the SAM TOOL SUPERVISOR web application, which offers WMS-type configurations, you benefit from real-time visibility of all stock movements, 24/7.
🧩 How does the X'STORE work?
The X'STORE is an automated storage and distribution system that works in conjunction with the X’TOWER, X’SMART, X’LOCKER, or X’SLING. The user identifies themselves via one of these systems’ interfaces, selects the desired tool or consumable, and the X’STORE grants access to the corresponding product. This integration enables centralized management, accurate tracking of check-outs, and real-time inventory optimization.
📊 Can the consumption of stored equipment in the X'STORE be tracked?
Yes, the X’STORE is equipped with real-time inventory management software, allowing consumption to be analyzed per user and misuse to be limited. Every withdrawal is recorded, ensuring full traceability and optimized restocking control.
🏭 How does the X’STORE optimize workshop logistics?
Thanks to its automation and real-time inventory management, it reduces the time spent searching for tools and consumables, prevents stockouts, and optimizes replenishments. Connected to other SAM’URAI solutions, it ensures structured storage and optimized accessibility of equipment.
1. 🧭 How to use the X’STORE?
The X'STORE is a smart and flexible solution that can work autonomously or in combination with submodules like X’LOCKER or X’SLING, depending on your logistical needs.
🔁 Autonomous or coupled mode
In autonomous mode, the X’STORE secures an entire room dedicated to storage, where equipment is physically placed in non-connected containers (e.g., standard cabinets, racks, or floor zones).
In coupled mode, it can control connected SAM’URAI containers such as X’LOCKER or X’SLING.
🔧 Initial configuration in STS (SAM TOOL SUPERVISOR)
Before use, the room and its virtual containers must be configured in the STS software. Here's how:
a. Create a virtual room
Log in to the STS software.
Access your X’STORE container.
Create a new room (e.g., “Maintenance Storage Room”).
b. Define virtual containers
Add up to 10 virtual containers maximum to the room.
For each container, define the grid size, between 1x1 and 10x10 slots.
Give each container a clear name. Each container will be named based on the room name + a number automatically assigned by the STS software (e.g., “Maintenance Storage Room-587”).
🧠 Tip: Virtual containers aren’t necessarily tied to physical cabinets. They can also represent free storage areas (tool carts, ladders, bulky items not suitable for slots).
c. Create a 2D layout of the room
Use the graphical editor to position your virtual containers in the room.
This allows you to recreate a 2D view that matches the actual layout, ideal for user navigation.
Each slot can be labeled with the type of equipment stored.
🛠 Operator usage
Once the room and its containers are configured:
The user identifies themselves via the X'STORE.
They select one or more items through the intuitive interface.
They retrieve the key from the X’STORE hatch (or use an access badge depending on the room setup).
They physically go to the indicated location (cabinet, free zone, rack) to pick up or drop off the material.
They confirm the pickup or return on the X’STORE STM screen.
📍 Each operation is logged in STS, even if the containers are not connected.
✅ Advantages
Organizational flexibility: manage a wide variety of tools, from small to large.
Full autonomy for on-site teams.
Detailed traceability, even in hybrid environments (connected/non-connected).
Intuitive planning thanks to the 2D layout in STS.
2. 🔌 Cabling and installation of the X’STORE
The X’STORE must be properly installed to ensure safe power supply, reliable network connection, and efficient control of auxiliary modules. Key points:
🔧 Items included upon delivery
1 unit X’STORE®
1 RJ45 cable (2 meters)
1 220–230 V power cord (IEC19 / Type F)
🏗️ Cabling steps
Wall mounting:
Use the mounting brackets for secure attachment.
The unit should be mounted approximately 90 to 91 cm above the floor.
Check the wall’s stability.
Power connection:
Plug the IEC 220 V cord into an E/F-type outlet, protected by a 16A circuit breaker and a 30mA residual current device.
Turn the unit on using the ON/OFF button at the top of the machine.
Network and auxiliary connections:
Connect the RJ45 cable to the RJ45 OUT port on the X’STORE, and then to the IN port of an auxiliary module (X’LOCKER or X’SLING).
Up to 9 auxiliary modules can be connected to a single smart unit.
Never install two smart units (e.g., X’TOWER + X’STORE) on the same RJ45 network.
📶 Internet connection
The RJ45 port labeled INTERNET is dedicated to web network access only.
Never plug it into ports used for module-to-module communication.
