This procedure is a step-by-step guide to picking one or more items in the X'Store.

Start by swiping your badge on the machine. You will then be taken to the home screen. Next, press the ‘Collect’ button.

Once you have done this, you will be taken to the product categories screen, as shown in the example below. You can select the item(s) you wish to collect via this interface. To do this, select the categories in which your items are listed to add them to your basket.

You can also search for items using the various menus at the top of the screen. In the example below, we’ll use the “Catalogue” section. This section allows you to search for products using the search bar or by scrolling through the screen.

In this example, let’s say we want to select the 6mm short straight grinder. Click on the item. It will then automatically be added to the basket at the top of the screen, as shown in the example below. Note that the icon next to your item indicates where it is located. If, as in our example, the X’Store icon is shown, this means the item is in one of the rooms managed by the X’Store. If an X’Locker is shown, then the item is located in one of the X’Lockers connected to the X’Store.

Once you’ve done this, you can select further items or view your basket via the ‘Basket’ tab at the top left.

You then have several options available to you. You can edit your basket by removing items or clear it by clicking the “Clear basket” button at the bottom right of the screen. If your basket contains the items you need, you can confirm your order. The “Confirm basket” option will show you the location of the item to be collected. Alternatively, if you already know the location of your item, you can use the “Quick Pick” function. This will not show you the location of your item but will instantly confirm your selection.

In this example, we do not know the exact location of the 6mm right-hand grinder. We will therefore use the “Confirm basket” button. The location will then be displayed as shown below.

Our item is therefore located in the Sam Store room, in the virtual container Sam Store-211 at location B2. You can also view a layout of the room and see where the item is situated. The ‘Open Hatch’ button allows you to open the X’Store hatch. This may contain the keys to the room where the item is located, to control access to it. Once you have collected the item, you can confirm the collection by clicking the “Confirm” button at the bottom of the screen. Your collection will then be recorded.
