Options available depend on your subscription plan.
This article assumes you already have a subscription package that includes the option to create a Monitoring profile.
To Customise Your Monitoring Profile:
You can configure your Monitoring profile by adding Keywords, selecting CPV codes, choosing Delivery regions, specifying Contract nature, selecting Opportunity types, and enabling the Expiring Contracts alert.
Apply Keywords
The Keywords section allows you to list specific terms or phrases that will be used to generate search results from relevant publications.
Click on Add keyword to open a pop-up where you can configure the keyword matching terms and types.
Enter the keyword(s) related to the products, services, or sectors you are interested in.
Under Match within: select where you want to match the keyword to; within the Title, Description, Buyer or Supplier. You can select multiple
Save your selections.
To add multiple keywords in the same search, use the ‘+Add keyword’ option again
You can Edit and/or delete the already added keywords through the three dots icon on the right-hand side of the Monitoring profile page.
Advanced Options
You can further manage keywords in Advanced Options to make monitoring profile matches more relevant to you and your organisation.
Match type: Include or Exclude the Keyword
Where including the keyword will provide matches that have that keyword in the details of the opportunity, excluding a keyword will remove it from your matches as identified as irrelevant.
Match: This word (include stemming), Exact, Contains, Starts with, Ends with
With this option you can decide how exclusive the keyword is to be used.
A specific keyword use Exact matches as only relevant.
For example, Computer services will only provide results for servicing computers, and will not include Mac service or Computer maintenance.A variant of a keyword use This word (include stemming)
This provides all variants of the original word, for example ‘Computer’ will deliver results for Computing and Computed.Broaden a keyword use Contains
This could match with all opportunities that includes it in any details of the opportunity for example Computing written in the description of the tender or a part of the tendering organisation name.To target a keyword that is a part of a wider family of relevant search terms use Starts with and Ends with
For example a computer support specialist could use the keyword ‘Computer’ as a Start with phrase to match with all Computer service, Computer purchase and Computer disposing business opportunities.
Combining of keywords
Selecting + Add keyword within advanced options provides the opportunity to combine multiple keywords together, by selecting AND as the Operator.
A combination of Keyword 1 AND Keyword 2 makes the match criteria more specific, increasing the match relevance.
Filter a keyword
You may find a primary keyword produces too many irrelevant matches, however the keyword itself is central to the services and products your organisation offers.
In these cases, you can reduce the results by adding the primary keyword first, select + Add keyword, change Operator to NOT. For examples Keyword 1 can be PC services, but NOT include Mac.
Add CPV codes to Keywords:
Tailor your monitoring profile with CPV codes on keywords to focus your matches to those only most relevant.
Select Show advanced options in the Add Keywords window
Scroll down to Add CPV Code(s) and search for CPV code headings or numbers
Select the CPV codes most relevant with the tick box
You can use the toggle beside each CPV code to include all the subcodes. The number indicates how many subcodes will be included.
Click Save
When configuring your monitoring profile, you can decide exactly how keywords and CPV codes work together to find relevant business opportunities (BOPPs). Your choice will directly impact the volume and precision of the results you receive.
Choose from one of the two matching options below based on your goals:
Option 1: The "AND" Rule (Match Both)
How it works: A business opportunity must contain at least one of your selected CPV codes AND at least one of your keywords to be sent to you.
Best for: Pinpointing highly specific opportunities.
The outcome: You will receive fewer, more targeted results.
Option 2: The "OR" Rule (Match Either)
How it works: A business opportunity only needs to contain at least one of your selected CPV codes OR at least one of your keywords to be sent to you.
Best for: Casting a wider net so you do not miss any potential matches.
The outcome: You will receive significantly more results.
Apply CPV codes
CPV codes (Common Procurement Vocabulary) are standardised codes used in public procurement within the EU. These codes help identify specific categories of goods, services and works. It is important to apply CPV codes as accurate and precise as possible, best practice is use CPV subcodes. This will deliver the most defined and relevant monitoring results
Click on ‘Add CPV codes…’
You can either manually select the codes you are interested in or use the search functionality to find the relevant CPV codes.
Select the codes that match your desired goods or services. You can select multiple codes depending on your focus.
To expand the sub-categories for each main category, click the arrow next to the listed code.
Once you've selected all relevant codes, save your changes to add them to your Monitoring profile.
It is simple to review all relevant CPV codes matching your search using the up and down arrows in the top right corner of the CPV code picker. This way you do not risk missing a relevant code.

The Delivery Regions section allows you to define the geographic regions where you are interested in providing or delivering goods or services.

You can select multiple regions depending on your business capacity and interest.

The available Contract Natures are:
Works: Construction or building-related contracts.
