Navigating expiring contracts tab in Market Intelligence

A guide to fully understanding the expiring contracts tab

Market Intelligence (MI) is available depending on your subscription type.

The Expiring Contracts tab provides market status with a focus on expiring contract activity over the upcoming 36 months.

You navigate to this dashboard by selecting the Expiring Contracts tab.

Overview of this year’s procurements

The overview data provides the top level figures of the Number of Expiring Contracts, this data is drilled down further in the charts below.

The figures show the current year in the largest text with historical data provided below.

Filtered procurement data

These charts begin to drill down from the overall number of expiring contracts that was displayed in the overview figures above. You are able to begin to compare the proportions of expiring contracts with framework agreements, threshold types and award criteria.

Using the Contract Selection option you can reduce the data based on the expiration date, either from the initial contract period or from the Maximum Contract Period. This is referring to a contract's initial period e.g. 4 years, and then optional periods after, for example + 1 year. By changing this filter you decide whether to produce insights for only initial or the last possible end date.

Time Period limits the chart data to specific month ranges within the upcoming 36 months.

Top Suppliers/ Top Buyers

This section gives you access to competitor (Supplier) and potential customer (Buyer) information.

Both tables reflect similar information based on either suppliers with contracts or buyers with contracts, the table list all supplier/buyer organisations with (from the top) the most active contracts.

Tip: By selecting individual suppliers/buyers you can filter the rest of dashboard on that specific organisation.

Details

Now you have reached the most detailed level of Expiring Contracts data. From this table you can read the qualitative specifics of individual contracts that have been captured and summarised above.
