Withdrawal verification is where you can view and complete any checks required to verify withdrawals, where applicable.
Withdrawals are always paid to your bank. To process this, we first need to verify any deposits made by card or Apple Pay.
How to Access Withdrawal Verification
From the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
Select Documents.
Tap Withdrawal verification and follow the on-screen instructions.
Why Is Withdrawal Verification Required?
As a regulated financial services provider, IG is required to comply with Australia’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws, overseen by AUSTRAC.
When deposits are made via EFT, bank transfer, or card, the originating bank account details are not always provided to us. As a result, additional checks may sometimes be required to:
Confirm that the source of funds is in your name
Verify that the destination account for withdrawals belongs to you
Ensure funds can be returned securely and in compliance with regulatory requirements
These checks help protect your account and ensure withdrawals are processed safely and lawfully.
