When selling cryptocurrencies on a Crypto account, settlement is instant — funds are available for withdrawal immediately upon completion of the trade.

When selling equities on a share account, there is a 'settlement period' of 1 to 2 business days before your funds become available to withdraw.

Settlement for AU equities typically takes two business days from the trade date (T+2), while US equities settle within one business day (T+1). Before settlement is complete, your funds can be used to trade but are not yet available for withdrawal.
