How to open your voucher link and choose a supermarket or shop

Step-by-step guide to claiming your food or shopping voucher - covers grocery, retail, clothing, home essentials and school uniform vouchers.

Claiming your voucher takes just a few minutes. Follow the steps below to open your link, choose your shop, and get your barcode ready to use.

Please note: These instructions cover grocery, retail, clothing, home essentials and school uniform vouchers. For PayPoint or ATM cash vouchers, see the relevant sections in this help centre.

Step 1 - Open your link

Click the See Details button in the email or text message you received. If you received a printed letter with a 16-digit code instead of a link, enter it at huggg.me/claim.

Step 2 - Review your voucher details

The next page shows your voucher type, value, and the expiry date for your link. Click Next when you're ready to continue.

Step 3 - Choose your supermarket or shop

You'll see a carousel of available brands. Swipe or scroll through to see all your options. Under each brand you'll see useful information including whether it can be used in store, online, or both.

Take your time - there's no rush. When you've decided, click Choose This One next to your chosen brand.

Step 4 - Confirm your selection

A confirmation screen will appear showing your chosen brand with the message "You cannot undo this". Double-check you're happy with your choice, then click Claim Now to confirm.

If you'd like to go back and choose a different brand, click Go Back at this stage - this is your last chance to change your mind.

Step 5 - Open your voucher

Once confirmed, you'll see a "Voucher claimed" screen. Click Open Voucher to reveal your barcode and voucher details. This is the screen you'll need to show at the till or use online.

Tips

  • Save your link - bookmark it or keep the original email or text. You can come back to your voucher at any time by clicking the original link again

  • No smartphone? You can open the link on any computer and print the voucher page to take in store

  • Spending across multiple visits - you don't need to spend the full amount in one go. Your remaining balance stays on the voucher until it expires

Something not working?

If your barcode won't show or isn't scanning at the till, see: My voucher isn't working at the till.
