Your Post Office energy voucher lets you top up your gas or electricity prepayment meter at any Post Office branch. There are around 11,500 Post Office locations across the UK.
📋 Claim your voucher
Open the link you received by email, text, or letter. Click through to claim your voucher. You will be given a Post Office energy voucher with a barcode and voucher number.
🏤 Go to a Post Office
Take your voucher to your nearest Post Office branch, either on your phone or printed out. Find your nearest branch at postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder.
Wait at least 15 minutes after claiming your voucher before going to the branch. The Post Office system needs that time to accept the barcode.
💷 At the counter
Show your voucher to the Post Office clerk. They will scan the barcode or key in the voucher number.
The clerk will top up your energy meter to the value of the voucher.
You will receive a receipt confirming the transaction.
Your voucher can only be used once. Check the expiry date shown on screen and make sure you use it before then.
