How to use your voucher in store

How to show your barcode at the checkout, use your voucher across multiple visits, and what to do if you don't have a smartphone.

Once you've claimed your voucher and chosen your shop, here's how to use it at the till.

Paying in store

  1. Open your voucher by clicking the original link sent to you by email, text, or letter

  2. Make sure you're on the screen showing your chosen shop's branding and a barcode or voucher code

  3. Show the barcode to the cashier at the checkout - they'll scan it to apply the value to your shop

  4. If the cashier can't scan the barcode, ask them to enter the voucher number manually - this is printed near the barcode and works just as well

Using your voucher across multiple visits

You don't have to spend the full amount in one visit. Any remaining balance stays on your voucher and will be available next time you shop.

To find your voucher again, simply click the original link that was sent to you. Your remaining balance will be shown on screen.

If you don't have a smartphone with you

You can open your voucher on any computer and print the voucher page. Bring the printed copy to the store - the cashier can scan the barcode from a printed page, or enter the voucher number manually.


Tips for a smooth checkout

  • Turn up your screen brightness - a dim screen is the most common reason barcodes fail to scan

  • Switch to light mode if your phone is in dark mode - barcodes don't always display correctly on dark backgrounds

  • Zoom in on the barcode if the cashier is having trouble reading it
