Bookboost enforces property-level data visibility in the Unified Inbox. Operators only see messages, reservations, and guest information for the properties (apps) they have been assigned to. This keeps data properly isolated in multi-property environments, which is especially important for hotel groups where privacy between locations is required.
How it works
Data visibility is controlled by the app-level permissions set for each operator in Settings. Once configured, scoping applies across three areas of the Unified Inbox:
Messages. Operators only receive notifications for, and can only view, incoming messages from the properties assigned to them.
Reservations. The reservations view is filtered to show data only from the properties an operator can access.
Guest profile data. The Reports section of the guest profile drawer respects the same app-level permissions.
What this looks like in practice
A front desk agent at Property A (with just access to Property A) cannot see or be notified about messages from Property B.
Chain-level operators with access to all properties continue to see data across the entire portfolio.
Managers can review guest and reservation data knowing it is scoped only to their assigned properties.
Setting it up
Scoping is driven entirely by the app-level permissions configured per operator in Settings > Operators > Accessible Apps.
Good to know
Visibility is only as accurate as the permissions you assign, review operator app assignments if someone is seeing too much or too little.
Operators with no app assignments may default to organisation-level access.
