Introduction
The D3X integration connects D3X's AI-powered chatbot directly with the Bookboost Unified Inbox, enabling hotels to automate guest messaging across multiple channels while keeping human agents in the loop when needed. This integration is live on the Bookboost Marketplace.
Main Concept
The D3X integration works via a two-way Chatbot API: D3X reads incoming guest messages through the Bookboost Unified Inbox, generates AI replies, and — when it cannot resolve a query — hands the conversation back to a human operator within the same inbox thread. No context is lost; the agent sees the full conversation history. 🔄

Configuration and Setup
Confirm eligibility with D3X: D3X is generally available to hotels in DACH, BENELUX, and UK.
Connect the integration: Navigate to the Bookboost Marketplace and activate the D3X integration. The setup phase typically takes approximately 4 weeks.
Configure your channels: Align which messaging channels (WhatsApp, email, SMS, web messenger, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Instagram, Line) will route through the integration.
Set up the D3X knowledge base: D3X will automatically scrape your hotel website. Supplement this with links to your operational and process documentation via the API hook. Review flagged gaps during onboarding.
Define escalation rules: Agree on the conditions under which the bot hands off to a human agent. Escalated conversations are returned to the unassigned queue in the originating team inside Bookboost.
Run the pilot: A standard pilot period runs 8 weeks following setup. Use this phase to monitor auto-resolution rates and fine-tune the knowledge base.
Advanced Setup
PMS Action-Taking (Mews)
Please contact D3X about advanced set up options, such as upsell requests, late check-out approvals, and breakfast bookings with Mews integration.
This uses a separate D3X–Mews direct API connection — it is independent of the standard Bookboost–Mews integration. It must be configured during D3X onboarding. Confirm with your Mews and D3X contacts whether this is in scope for your property.
Note: the standard Bookboost–Mews integration (guest and reservation data sync) must also be active for the full D3X setup, but the two connections are configured and managed independently.
Knowledge Base API Hooks
For hotels with internal ops documentation (e.g., SOPs, process guides), D3X can connect to these sources via API, keeping its knowledge base current without manual re-entry.
Discuss API hook configuration with your D3X onboarding contact during the setup phase.
Known Issues or Limitations
Outbound campaigns via D3X using Bookboost WhatsApp numbers are not currently supported. Outbound campaign messaging should be managed directly via the Bookboost CRM.
Notifications when the bot cannot answer are not yet available as an automated alert. Human agents have to monitor the unassigned queue for escalated conversations.
