The Inbox dashboard in the Unified Inbox

See how many tickets you handled, how fast your team replied, and how the work was spread across channels and operators, without leaving the Unified Inbox.

You can see how your team is performing on guest conversations from inside the Unified Inbox itself. The Inbox dashboard shows how many tickets arrived over a period you choose, how quickly your team replied, and how that work was distributed across statuses, priorities, channels, and operators.

How to open it

Open the Unified Inbox and select Inbox dashboard in the left menu, under Messaging. It sits alongside Inbox, Quick reply, and Inbox Settings.

Inbox Dashboard in the left menu

Who can see it. The dashboard is available to admins. Data is scoped to the apps you have access to, so if your access covers some of your properties rather than all of them, the figures cover those apps only. If Inbox dashboard is not in your menu, contact support.

What the dashboard shows

Three figures sit across the top and summarise the period you have selected:

  • Total tickets. How many tickets fall inside the current filters.

  • First response. How long guests waited for the first reply.

  • Average response (all replies). The average across every reply, not just the first.

Below them, five tiles break the same period down:

  • Tickets by status. A bar chart across New, Waiting for us, Waiting for guest, Solved, and Archived.

  • Tickets by priority. A donut chart across High, Medium, Low, and None. "None" covers every ticket where nobody set a priority, so it is usually the largest slice. If no ticket in the period has a priority at all, the tile shows No priorities set rather than a single flat slice.

  • Tickets by channel. Ticket volume per channel, so you can see where guests actually contact you.

  • Avg response by channel. Average response time per channel, which is where a slow channel becomes obvious.

  • Tickets by operator. Each operator with their ticket count and average response time, ordered by volume. Select View more to see the full list rather than the top few.

How response times are written

Response times are shown in the largest units that still read clearly, so a long average does not arrive as a four-digit hour count:

  • Under a week, you see two units, for example 1d 6h or 9h 14m.

  • At a week or more, you see whole days only, for example 18d instead of 441h 31m.

A figure in days is not a different measurement, only a shorter way of writing the same average.

Filtering what you see

The filters at the top of the page control every tile at once.

  • Date. Defaults to All times. You can switch to Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or a Custom range.

  • Property. Defaults to every property your access covers. Open it to focus the whole page on one property.

  • Channel. Defaults to All channels. Open it to pick a single channel from the ones connected to your account, and use the search box if you have a long list.

The property and channel filters only appear when there is more than one option to choose between. If your access covers a single property, or a single channel is connected, that filter is hidden because there is nothing to switch to.

Your filters are remembered. Your date, property, and channel selections stay applied when you refresh the page, and they are still there the next time you open the dashboard, so you do not have to set them up again through the day. They are saved in the browser you are using.

Reset at the right of the filter bar puts the filters back to their defaults and clears what was remembered.

While the dashboard is loading, and on the error screen, the filters and Reset are greyed out. The page loads in one pass, so the figures and tiles appear together rather than filling in one by one.

What this does not do

  • No exports. You cannot download the dashboard as a CSV or a PDF.

  • No scheduled or emailed reports. Nothing can be sent to you or to a colleague on a schedule.

  • No drill-down. You cannot click through from a tile to the individual tickets, guests, or reservations behind a number.

  • No period comparison. There is no week-over-week or month-over-month view. To compare two periods, set the custom range twice and note the figures down.

  • No written summary. The dashboard shows figures only. AI-written summaries of what guests are contacting you about are part of Bookboost Insights, not this dashboard.

  • Averages only. Response times are shown as averages. There is no median, so a handful of very old conversations can pull a channel's average up sharply.

Common questions

Is this the same as the Inbox dashboard in Bookboost Insights?
No. They are two different products that happen to share a name. This one lives inside the Unified Inbox and reports on ticket volume and response times. The Insights version is part of Bookboost Insights and goes further, with sentiment scoring, an AI-written summary, a team filter, and resolution times. If you have Insights, you have both.

Why is Archived such a large share of my tickets?
Archiving is how a conversation gets closed in Bookboost. A conversation can be archived whatever its current status, and Bookboost treats an archived conversation as closed for reporting. A large Archived bar usually means your team is closing conversations properly rather than that something is wrong.

Why does one channel show a much longer average response time than the others?
The figure is an average across every reply on that channel, so a few conversations that sat unanswered for a long time will lift it well above what your team does day to day. Filter to that channel and narrow the date range to see whether the pattern is recent or historic.

Do the filters affect every tile?
Yes. The date, property, and channel filters apply to the whole page, including the three figures at the top. If a number looks wrong, check the filter bar first, and remember that your filters carry over from your last visit.

Why is the dashboard not showing the period I expected?
Because your filters are remembered, the dashboard opens on whatever you last selected rather than on the defaults. Select Reset to go back to All times and all properties and channels.

What to do next

If a channel's average response time looks wrong, filter to that channel and narrow the date range before drawing a conclusion. A long average is often a few old conversations rather than how the team works now.
