Prerequisite: This functionality is only available to workspace admins.
Introduction
The Onboarding setting controls whether users see Sana's onboarding the first time they sign in. The onboarding is a short guided flow: a welcome screen, a tour of the main parts of Sana, and a step where the user connects the apps they work with. It is enabled by default. When it is disabled, new users skip the onboarding and land directly on the home page. This setting can be changed at any time by a Workspace Admin.
How to enable and disable onboarding
Navigate to the workspace settings.
Navigate to the General tab inside of the workspace settings.
Find Onboarding in the list and click the toggle to enable or disable it.
FAQ
Q: Who is affected when I disable onboarding?
A: Users who have not been through the onboarding yet. The next time they sign in, they go straight to the home page. Users who already completed or skipped the onboarding are not affected.
Q: If I enable onboarding again, will users who skipped it because of this setting see it?
A: No. Users who signed in while onboarding was disabled are treated as having completed it, so they are not shown the onboarding later. Enabling the setting again only affects users who have not signed in yet.
Q: Can users skip the onboarding themselves?
A: Yes. The onboarding can be skipped by the user, and it is shown only once. This setting controls whether it is shown at all.
Q: Can I send new users to a specific agent instead of the home page?
A: No. There is no setting for a landing page or a default agent. With onboarding disabled, new users land on the home page.
