A referral occurs when one website refers to your website, and the user clicks through to wind up on your website. This can happen through a URL, media embed or another website mention.

In Quanticfy, our marketing tag provides us with the referral from a hit, which is the URL people click on prior to arriving at your shop. This referral contains the UTM that allows us to build the customer journey and to provide you with attribution data, so you know exactly where your sales come from.
