UTMs

Learn about what UTMs are and why they matter

Updated over a week ago

UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) is a tracking parameter that is appended to a URL to track the source, medium, and campaign name of website traffic.

It is commonly used to track the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns, such as email, social media and search engine marketing. UTM parameters are visible in the URL and can be used to track specific marketing activities. We use them in Quantic Factory to retrieve ad-specific data, so it is essential to parameter the UTMs properly.

UTMs are visible in the Sales by Campaign dashboard if parameterized before.

Quanticfy is UTM centric. We provide you with precise attribution data thanks to the tracking of the UTMs from your different online ads. Make sure the UTMs are properly configured for attribution to be accurate.

⚠️ In order for the UTM to work properly in Quantic Factory, it is also important to configure the Ad-IDs for us to be able to track your data at the campaign level (especially for META). Visit our UTMs and Ad-ID guide for more details.
