How to get started with Market Intelligence

This guide will walk you through how to create and manage your Default Views to get you started with MI.

Market Intelligence (MI) has an intuitive filtering system centred around Views. A View is a saved, named collection of your filtering criteria (like CPV codes, regions, and dates) that allows you to quickly load different market perspectives.

1. Creating Your First Default View

When you first access a Market Intelligence dashboard, the Onboarding Wizard will guide you to set up your initial filters, which will be saved as your Default View.

Step 1: Choose Your Creation Method

The first window of the wizard offers two options:

  • Option A: Import from a Monitoring Profile

  • Option B: Create from Scratch

Step 2: Set Up Your Filters

If you chose Option A (Import):

  1. A list of your existing Monitoring Profiles will appear. Use the search feature to quickly locate the profile you need.

  2. Select the profile.

  3. Choose whether to import CPV codes, Place of Performance (regions), or both.

If you chose Option B (Create from Scratch):

  1. Proceed through the existing filter selection flow to define your criteria.

Step 3: Name Your View

  1. You will be prompted to name your new filter set (also known as a View).

  2. If you imported a profile, the name field will be pre-populated with the Monitoring Profile's name. You can edit this if needed.

  3. If you created from scratch, enter a descriptive name for your View.

Step 4: Finalise and Launch

  1. The final screen confirms your dashboard is ready.

  2. Click "start using your dashboard." Your selected filters are applied, and this View is set as your Default View.

You can initiate the Onboarding Wizard as many times as you need after the first time you have visited Market Intelligence. You may find that following the wizard’s steps is the easiest way to create new views.

Click on the Create new view button to initiate the wizard again.
