Only Organisation Administrators can copy a monitoring profile from one user to another.
If you would like to copy your own profile to a colleague (instead of sharing it) and do not have the necessary permissions, please contact your Organisation Administrator for assistance.
How to copy a monitoring profile from one user to another
On the left side menu, you will find the cog icon for Settings.
From there, you can select User management.
Find the user that currently holds that monitoring profile and select the 3-dot menu on the right side. From there, select Edit
Navigate to the Monitoring Profiles tab and identify the profile you would like to copy.
Select Copy profile in the 3-dots menu on the right.
Select the user to whom the profile should be copied. You can select multiple users at the same time.
Select Apply at the top right.
The monitoring profile will then be copied to the selected user’s settings.
A monitoring profile can only be copied to a user if they have a subscription license. If the user does not have a subscription, a yellow warning symbol (exclamation mark in a triangle will show at the end of the row in the table.
In addition, a monitoring profile can be copied to organisation administrators, regardless of whether they have an active license.
This ensures that the organisation does not lose any profiles and allows you to retain a copy of the original version before making any updates to the profile.
Tip: Copying a profile is recommended if users require flexibility, while sharing works best when monitoring needs are identical across the team.
