Theft / burglary

Updated over a year ago

Burglary in my home

If you are a victim of burglary, it is best to take the following steps:

  • Call the police / report the incident

  • Touch as few things as possible in the home: the police may want to investigate signs of breaking in or other indications

  • Inform LIV Residential about the burglary

  • Check / inform your insurance

Theft in the residential complex

Unfortunately, theft within the common area of a residential complex occurs more often, such as bicycles that are stolen or packages delivered in the hall that are taken.

  • Call the police / report the incident

  • Inform LIV Residential

  • Check / inform your insurance

  • To prevent this as much as possible, we recommend the following:

  • Close general access doors behind you, so that unauthorized persons cannot gain access to the building. If a door does not close properly, we request that you report this via the LIV app

  • Always report suspicious situations to the police or via the LIV app.

Camera images

If you live in a residential complex, there may be camera images present. LIV Residential is not allowed to share camera images directly with residents for privacy reasons. The police may request these images, but they need a report from you as the tenant and owner of the stolen property.
