Tenant's personal data

What personal data does LIV Residential store about you as a tenant?

Updated over 2 months ago

What information do we keep during your tenancy? What do we store in your rental file?

During your tenancy, we maintain a rental file for you in a secure environment. This file contains the documents you provided with your housing application, such as personal data, registration forms, and possibly payslips. The tenancy agreement and the handover reports are also stored at the beginning and end of your tenancy.

Can I change my personal data?

Yes, you can change your personal data by contacting us. Sometimes we ask for additional documentation to implement a change.

Do you have access to your personal data and rental file? What is the process for this?

Yes, you can request access to your information, but the process depends on what you would like to review.

  • Personal data
If you want to access or request a copy of your personal data, please submit a request via privacy@livresidential.nl. Your request will be handled in accordance with our privacy procedures.

  • Rental file (tenancy documents and other rental-related information)
For questions or access to the rest of your rental file, please contact LIV Support. They can assist you with agreements, tenancy details, and other rental documentation.

What happens to your personal data when you leave your rental property? Is this data retained or deleted?

When you terminate your lease and leave the property, we retain certain information, including your new address, for purposes such as refunding the deposit or settling service charges. If the property is returned in good condition and there are no outstanding rent payments, all your data will eventually be deleted. In the event of rent arrears, we retain the rental agreement and possibly your rental file for legal reasons. We respect your privacy and only use your data when necessary.
