Yes, you can cancel a voucher as long as your recipient hasn't claimed their link yet. There are three ways to cancel, depending on what you need to cancel and where you are in the platform.
⏰ When you can cancel
A voucher link can be cancelled at any point before it is claimed. Once a recipient has claimed their voucher, the link can no longer be cancelled. Claimed means they've generated the voucher or made a selection.
Energy and cash vouchers show a Claim status of Voucher revealed once they've been generated. You can usually still cancel at that point, until your recipient uses the voucher.
When you cancel a link that hasn't been claimed, the money is returned to your wallet.
🔗 Cancelling a single voucher link
There are two ways. Use whichever is quicker for you.
Method 1: From the Links page
Best when you know the recipient's details or the link code and want to cancel without opening the parent order.
Go to your Order history page from the left-hand menu. The page opens on the Links tab by default.
Use the filters or the search bar to find the link you want to cancel. You can search by contact details or link code.
Scroll to the right of the row and click the three dots icon.
Select Cancel link and confirm.
Method 2: From inside the order
Best when you have the order open already, or you want to see the link in context first.
Go to your Order history page and click the Orders tab.
Find and click into the relevant order.
Find the voucher link in the list and click the bin icon on the right of its row.
Confirm the cancellation.
📋 Cancelling a whole order
Use this when you need to cancel every unclaimed link in a single order at once.
Go to your Order history page from the left-hand menu.
Click the Orders tab at the top of the page.
Find and click into the relevant order.
Click the three dots icon at the top right of the order.
Select Cancel order and confirm.
Any links in the order that haven't been claimed will be cancelled, and the money returned to your wallet. Any links that have already been claimed will not be affected.
❓ What if the voucher has already been claimed?
If your recipient has already claimed their voucher, the link cannot be cancelled. The money cannot be returned to your wallet. Whether to issue a new voucher in its place is your call, based on your organisation's policy.
