How do I use my PayPoint energy voucher?

How to use your PayPoint energy voucher to top up your gas or electricity meter: where to go, what to bring, and how long you have to use it.

Your PayPoint voucher lets you top up your gas or electricity prepayment meter at any PayPoint location in the UK. There are around 28,000 PayPoint outlets, in convenience stores, newsagents, and supermarkets.

📋 Before you go

Find your nearest PayPoint at paypoint.com/store-locator.

Make sure you take with you:

  • Your voucher. Open it on your phone or print the page to take with you

  • Your gas card, electricity key, or smart meter card. The cashier needs this to apply the credit

🏪 At the PayPoint location

  1. Hand your voucher to the cashier. They'll scan the barcode or key in the voucher number

  2. The cashier tops up your energy device to the value of the voucher

  3. You'll get a receipt confirming the transaction

⚠️ Expiry

Your PayPoint voucher is valid for 30 days from the date you claim it. If you don't use it within 30 days, the voucher is cancelled. You'll then need to contact the organisation that sent it to request a new one.
