A Release Group is a container that sits inside your Page and houses all versions of the same Release.
For example, one Release Group may contain:
A 12" Vinyl version
A CD version
This ensures that multiple formats of the same release appear together in your storefront.
Why Do I Need a Release Group?
A Release Group is required in order to sell your release.
Without attaching your Release to a Release Group, it cannot go live.
Release Groups also keep your catalogue organised and scalable for future formats.

How to Create a Release Group
Ensure you have already created a Page
Go to your Release
Select the option to attach a Release Group
Create a new Release Group (or select an existing one)
Confirm the attachment
Your Release is now connected to your Page via the Release Group.
Can I Add More Formats Later?
Yes. You can attach additional formats (for example, adding a CD version later) to the same Release Group so they appear together.
What’s Next?
Once your Release is attached to both a Page and a Release Group, it will go live on your chosen release date.
