You can offer your release in both Vinyl and CD formats on elasticStage by cloning your existing release into a second format.

elasticStage makes this easy by offering a one-click clone option when you attach a Release Group.

When you build your first format (for example, 12" Vinyl) and attach it to a Release Group, the system checks whether another format (such as CD) exists.

If it doesn’t, a modal will appear offering you the option to clone your release into that format in one click.

This is the fastest way to make your release available in multiple formats.

Once completed and locked, both formats can be attached to the same Release Group.

If you ignore the one-click clone option, you can still create the second format manually at any time.

3. Click the Clone icon

4. Select the new format (e.g. CD Album)

The system will duplicate your metadata and tracks into the new format.

Artwork will automatically copy over. If you change the track listing, you’ll be prompted to regenerate the back cover artwork.

You’ll need to upload new artwork PDFs for the new format. Metadata and tracks will already be copied.

To ensure both formats appear together in your storefront, attach the new format to the same Release Group.

This keeps your Vinyl and CD versions organised under one unified release.
