🧾 Step-by-Step: Refunding a Customer
Go to the Payment Screen
Tap the burger menu (☰) in the top corner of the screen.Select “Transaction Activities”
This will open the transaction options menu.Tap “Refund Customer”
Enter the Refund Passcode
Use the refund access code: 1471Enter the Refund Amount
Type in the amount to refund (excluding the tip – more on this below), then press "Confirm."Customer Presents Card
You will be directed to the payment screen. Ask the customer to present the same card used for the original transaction.Refund Confirmation
Once successful, the terminal will display “Refund Successful.”
You will also have the option to print a refund receipt for the customer.
⚠️ Important: Tips Are Not Refundable
Please note:
Tip amounts cannot be refunded.
Once a tip is processed, it is sent to the team's digital wallet and cannot be reversed.
When issuing a refund:
Only include the sales amount (excluding the tip).
If you refund the full amount, including the tip, the tip portion will be deducted from your merchant sales.
💡 Example: If the bill was €50 + €5 tip, refund only €50—not €55.
