When it's time to distribute your team's tip pot, you can create a split directly from the URocked app. Splitting is quick and flexible — you choose the time period and the method that works best for your team.
Creating a Split
Step 1 – Go to your team
From Team Tips, select the team whose tips you'd like to split, then tap Team splits.
Step 2 – Start a new split
Tap the yellow + button to create a split. You'll be shown the total team pot available for that period.
Step 3 – Set the end date
Select the end date for the split. The start date will automatically default to the day after the last completed split.
Step 4 – Choose your split method
Select your preferred method from the drop-down list. Once you've assigned shares and reviewed the breakdown, tap Create team split to confirm. A confirmation screen will appear, and your team members will be notified. They'll have 24 hours to confirm or reject the split — if there are no rejections, tip shares will be processed automatically.
Split Methods
There are five ways to split your team's tip pot:
Amounts: manually assign a specific monetary amount to each team member.
Hours: enter the number of hours each member worked. Tips are distributed proportionally based on hours.
Percentages: assign a percentage to each team member. Tap + to increase by 1%, press and hold to increase by 10%, or tap 0% to enter a figure manually. Percentages must add up to 100%.
Split equally: the tip pot is divided equally among all selected team members.
Weighted points: assign a number of points to each team member. Points act as a weighting mechanism, so members with more points receive a larger share. Members with the same number of points receive the same share.
