Requesting Guide Approval
Updated over a week ago

Once Approval is required for a Guide to be published, any Team member that does not have an Approver role can request approval for a Guide that is ready for publishing (email notification will be sent to Approvers informing them that they've been requested to review a Guide).

1. Login into your Platform CMS (Editor)

2. In the Guide Overview, open an existing Guide assigned to your Team

3. Click “REQUEST APPROVAL” button.

4. Leave a comment for the Approver(s) about the reason for the request and click "REQUEST APPROVAL" to confirm the action

The Team Approver(s) will receive email notifications when they have been requested to review a Guide and Approve its publishing; if an approval order has been set, each approver will receive an email when it is their turn to approve.

Note: When the label “Approval required” appears on a Guide it means that the Approval for publishing has already been requested for that Guide.

Additional Information

  • The label "Version under approval" will appear on the Guide's Cover. Hence, if you want to make changes in this Guide, you'll have to switch to the "Draft Version" of this guide. Read about Guide Versioning in our help article.

  • The button "CANCEL APPROVAL REQUEST" will appear on the right side of the screen allowing any of the Team members to cancel the request and submit another version for Approval when needed.

  • The Team members will be notified by email when another Team member canceled the Approval Request.

  • All actions related to Guide Approval such as requesting or canceling requests will be stored under each Guide's Activity log. Read more about Guide Activity in our help article.
