How do I update my bank details for the SEPA mandate?

If you’ve changed your bank account or want to use a different one for payments to smarta, it’s important to inform us in time. We’ll take care of updating your SEPA Direct Debit mandate in our system.

How to change your bank details

Send us your new IBAN
The easiest way is by email to:
kontakt-team@smarta-steuern.de

Or use the chat feature in your smarta web app.

We’ll take care of the update

Your new bank details will be recorded by us, and the previous account will be automatically deactivated. Future payments will be collected from your new account.

No further action needed

You don’t need to confirm anything – the update becomes active once it’s processed.

Good to know

It’s not possible to update your SEPA mandate independently via external payment services – please contact us directly.

If you still see a debit from your old account shortly after submitting the change, the update may not have been fully processed yet. In that case, feel free to let us know.
