PIN Code Initialization

With the transition to STM V5, existing passwords are replaced by a 6-character PIN code.

👤 Existing Users (STM V4)

For users who already have a password:

➡️ PIN code initialization will be requested automatically
➡️ This step takes place during the first login on STM V5

🆕 New Users

The process is identical:

➡️ During the first login, the user must define their 6-character PIN code

✍️ Procedure

  1. The user logs in on the machine by scanning their badge or using their identifier
    Their identifier is filled in automatically and cannot be modified, in order to avoid input errors.

  2. A PIN code initialization request is displayed

  3. The user enters a 6-character PIN code

  4. The user validates

✅ The PIN code is then saved and used for future logins.

⚠️ Important

  • The PIN code is personal and confidential

  • It permanently replaces the old password

  • It will be requested at each login depending on the user’s permissions
