Before upgrading from STM V4 to STM V5, it is important to prepare for the migration in order to avoid any issues.

💡 It is advisable to carry out a review of any potential migration conflicts before initiating the switch to V5.

🛜 All the company’s machines must be connected at the same time during the migration.

The migration must be carried out across the entire network in one go. You must not migrate one machine one day and then another at a later date.

After installing V5, every user must create a 6-digit PIN.

This setup will only be required once.

If the customer has several machines, the user must set up their PIN on just one machine. They can then use the same PIN on the other machines.

The PIN can also be used if the user forgets their access card.

In V5, user rights become workflows.

If you are currently using permissions with quotas, these will be reset to zero during the migration.

Example:

If an operator is entitled to one item per week and has already taken that item during the current week, their quota will be reset during the migration.

They will therefore be able to collect another item via the V5 workflow.
