Assigning badges allows a physical badge to be linked to a user.
This operation can be performed from the STM machine or from STS.

📌 Required conditions:
Users must be created in STS
The machine must be connected to the Internet
The machine must be up to date

1. 🖥️ Assignment from the machine — STM
🔹 Accessing the feature
Badge in on the machine.
Click on “My account” at the top right.
Select “Badge assignment”.
🔍 Searching for users
Use the search bar to filter users.
Users without a badge appear first.
➕ Assigning a badge
Click “Assign” next to the user.
A message indicates that the reader is waiting for a badge.
Present the badge in front of the reader.
✅ Result
The badge number is displayed.
➡️ The badge is immediately linked to the user.
🔄 Modifying a badge
You can replace an existing badge by following exactly the same procedure:
➡️ Click “Assign”
➡️ Scan a new badge
The previous badge will be automatically replaced.
⚠️ Important
🌐 The machine must be connected to the Internet.
➡️ Otherwise, the assignments will not be synchronized with STS.
💻 II. Assignment via STS
It is also possible to assign a badge to a user directly from STS.
🔢 Retrieving the badge number
Before starting, you must know the badge number.
👉 If you do not have it:
Present an unassigned badge in front of the machine reader.
The number will briefly appear at the top of the screen.
👤 Accessing the user
Search for the user in STS.
Check whether a badge is already entered.
If no badge is assigned, the field is empty.
Click the ✏️ edit icon on the right.
✍️ Assigning the badge
You will access the user profile.
Enter the badge number in the dedicated field.
Click Validate at the bottom right.
✅ Result
The badge number now appears in the user profile.
➡️ The badge is correctly linked.
⚠️ Important
⏳ After the modification, the badge may not work immediately on the machine.
➡️ Wait approximately 10 to 30 seconds for synchronization between STS and STM to take effect.
🌐 Also make sure that the machine is properly connected to the Internet.
