Assigning badges

There are several ways to assign a badge to a user, either via STM or STS.

Prerequisites:

  • You must be an STS user ("Autonomous Final Client", "Final Client", "Integrator", or "Distributor").

  • A machine user will not have access to this functionality, even with the "Replenisher" role.

  • You must log in with your account on a machine and have previously entered STM users in the STS system.

I. Assigning Badges via the Machine

Initially, only a user with the role of Replenisher or Replenisher & Supervisor can perform this operation.

Badge onto the machine and then click on the "Badge Assignment" button.

Once on this page, you can filter users using the "All", "Without Badge", and "With Badge" buttons.

Then, click on the "Assign" button next to the user to assign them a badge. Three dots will appear, indicating that the badge reader is waiting to scan a badge for assignment.

Once your badge is scanned, the badge number will appear in place of the dots. The badge is then assigned to the user. If a user already has a badge number assigned, it can be modified using the same process by presenting a new badge to the reader.

Important: For badge assignments or modifications to be applied, the machine must be connected to the internet.

II. Assignment via STS

It is also possible to assign a badge to an STM user directly on the STS. First, obtain the badge number. If you do not know it, scan the unassigned badge using the reader. The number will briefly appear at the bottom right of the screen.

Start by searching for your STS user on the STM. As shown below, the operator does not yet have an assigned badge (the red box is empty). Click on the pencil icon on the right side of the screen to modify it.

Once this is done, you will be taken to the user modification interface. Enter the badge number in the field highlighted below. Then, make sure to confirm the modification at the bottom right of the screen.

You will then be able to see the badge number assigned to the operator.

Important: The user's badge may not grant access to the machine if presented immediately after modification. Wait approximately 30 seconds for communication between STM and STS to complete.

III. First Login of an STM User Without a Registered Badge Number

During the first login, a dedicated page allows the user to initialize their password. This feature is specifically designed for newly created users without a badge number. It enables them to set their password independently, facilitating access to the STM system without external intervention.

Once logged in, users can then associate their badge with their account (if their profile allows it), ensuring secure and personalized access to the machines.

Below is an example of the process to follow on the machine:

Once in front of the machine, press "Log in with an ID".

Then, click on the black button "Initialize Password".

Then, fill in the fields. The user ID is available in the user's profile on the STS. The password is unique to the operator. Make sure to confirm the entry.

The operator will have the option to present their badge to register it or skip this step by pressing "Later".
