You can schedule and organize our upcoming tasks in Samdock.

In this article, we'll show you how to create tasks, assign them to yourself or your colleagues and link them to your leads/deals or contacts.

Here's how:

1. Create tasks:

Depending on which step of your flows you are in, you can create a task in different sections:

  • On your home screen

  • In the detail view of a lead

  • In the detail view of a deal

  • In the list view and detail view of a person

  • In the detail view of a company

In all of the above sections, you will find an area named "Tasks" where you can create a new task by clicking the "+" sign.

By creating a new task, the detail view opens on the right side of the screen. Here you can give the task a concrete name, specify the content of the task in the free text field, assign a priority and select a start and due date.

2. Assign tasks:

Once you have created a task, you can assign it to yourself or to another person from your team. This person must be a Samdock user. This way, everyone knows their personal tasks and what needs to be done by when.

3. Link tasks with leads, deals and contacts:

Depending on where you created a task, you can link that task to the associated lead, deal, or contact.

  • If you create a task within a lead or deal, that lead or deal is automatically linked to the task.

  • If you create a task within a person, this task is automatically linked to the person and the company associated with the person.

Once you've created a new task for a lead or deal and filled the task details, you can link the task to the corresponding contact person and their company by clicking on the "+" sign at the bottom of the task details view at "Person" / "Company".

However, if you created your task in a person or company, you can link it to a lead or deal already created in Samdock.

If there is a existing lead or a deal linked to this contact, you can select them now.

4. Find, view and edit tasks

Once you have created a task, you will find it in different places in Samdock. It depends on what the task is linked to.

  • Home screen: Here you have an overview of all open tasks. You can also filter all tasks for various criteria.

  • Lead: You'll find your created tasks for each lead on your lead board, as well as in the detail view of the respective lead.

  • Deal: You'll find your created tasks at each deal on the deal board, as well as in the detail view of the respective deal.

  • Persons: You'll find your tasks in the list view (image 1) as well as in the detailed view (image 2) of the person.

  • Company: You'll find your created tasks that are linked to a company in the detail view of the respective company
