How are you insured, and what is covered?

When you drive a MyPop vehicle, you're insured, but it's important to understand what’s included and what your responsibilities are.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

🛡️ Civil liability insurance

MyPop provides legal civil liability insurance, also known as third-party insurance.

This covers:

  • 💥 Damage to other people’s property

  • 🧍 Injury to others

👉 If you accidentally cause harm to someone or their property while driving a MyPop car, this insurance protects you.

💶 What about the deductible (franchise)?

In case of a claim, you may need to pay an excess, that’s the part of the cost you’re responsible for before insurance kicks in.

  • The amount of the excess depends on your age and driving history

  • It will be communicated to you clearly in your contract

🚗 Damage to the vehicle

If you damage the vehicle during your rental, you could be responsible for:

  • The repair or replacement costs

  • Plus the applicable deductible (if insurance is involved)

⚠️ Your responsibility as the renter

You are responsible for any:

  • 🔧 Damage to the vehicle or its accessories

  • 👥 Harm caused to third parties if due to negligence

  • 💼 Costs from not following the terms and conditions

  • 💳 Fines, penalties, or extra charges resulting from misuse or non-compliance
