How to Adjust an Audit Schedule

K
Written by Khizer Islam

Note: this Guide uses the NSOC category as an example, however, the same process applies to all audit categories

1. Navigate to the calendar. Go to the Manage Audits page, and click on Audit Calendar here:

2. In the calendar, find the audit whose schedule you want to adjust, and click the Edit button.

This brings up a popup window where, by scrolling down, you can change any of the following details:

  • Team member assigned to do the audit

  • Release date

  • Responsibility groups to be included in the audit

  • Whether the audit requires a sign-off

It is important to note that any changes will apply to ALL future releases of this audit – so, if you want the change to apply to only one audit, make sure you change it back again once that one audit has been released.

E.g., if the usual auditor is on holiday, you can edit the schedule to assign the audit to someone else – but you must edit it back again later if you want to give it back to the usual person.

3. (NB: the calendar’s appearance will vary depending on whether you select List, Day or Month view. In the illustration below I have used Month view.)

If the area is audited more than once a month (e.g., an FR1 area in the NSOC category), you are likely to see more than one of its upcoming audits in the calendar, as in this example:

Although each of these has an Edit button, and you can click on any of them, please note that any changes you make would be applied to them all, starting with the next upcoming one.

This means that if you change the release date, it will be the date of the next upcoming one that is changed, with the rest following on at whatever interval the Risk level is set to.

The same is true if you turn to a future month in the calendar, and click on any audit other than the next upcoming one – it is always the next upcoming one that you are editing.
