How to Change a Room's Template

Written by Khizer Islam

Note: this Guide uses the NSOC category as an example, however, the same process applies to all audit categories

1. Start by navigating to your Configure category Locations page:

From the next screen, select

.

2. On the following screen, click here:

Then select a Functional Area from the dropdown. (Tip: to get to the Functional Area more quickly, click in the dropdown and start typing its name.)

3. You will see a list of the Functional Area’s rooms, including a column showing the current room template for each one. Click in the blank dropdown at the head of this column:

This will open a list of all the available room templates. Select one to make it appear in the column header.

Then move down the column, clicking on all the rooms you want to apply the template to. The new template will appear in green:

When you are happy with your changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Submit. The new templates will turn black, showing that the changes have now been finalised.

NB: when a room needs a new template, it will probably also need a new name, and perhaps a new internal space name too. For guidance on these, see the Guides How to Add, Edit, Archive or Delete Locations – Micad (zendesk.com) and How to Change an Internal Space Name – Micad (zendesk.com).
