How do I delete a team member or subteam? (Admin only)

How to remove a team member or subteam from your Huggg Payouts account, what happens to remaining funds, and what data is kept.

As an Admin, you can remove team members or subteams at any time. This is immediate, but you cannot delete anyone who still has funds in their pot. This article covers how it works, what happens to those funds, and what data is kept.

πŸ“‹ How to remove a team member or subteam

Removals are managed from the Teams tab:

  1. Select Teams from the side navigation

  2. Scroll to Manage my team (for individuals) or Manage subteams (for whole departments)

  3. Find the relevant team member or subteam and click the bin icon

The team member loses access to Huggg Payouts and the shared budget immediately. For subteams, every member in the subteam loses access at the same time.

πŸ’· What happens to the funds?

You cannot delete a team member or subteam if they still have a balance in their pot. Move the balance back to the main wallet first:

  1. Click the three dots next to the subteam and select Transfer funds

  2. Use the Withdraw tab to move the balance back into the main wallet

  3. Once the balance is Β£0.00, the bin icon becomes active and you can delete

See How do I manage my team and subteams? for the full transfer steps.

πŸ“Š What happens to the data?

Deleting a team member or subteam only revokes their login access. All previous transaction history, voucher records, and reporting data stay available to the Admin.

Any vouchers the deleted team member sent that are still live will continue to work for the recipient. You can still track or cancel these from your main dashboard.
