How to manage an Address

Updated yesterday

The address can be added in several ways.

Option 1: Existing route

Add to an existing route in the Route planning tab.

πŸ“˜ By default, all addresses on a route are displayed on a green background. When a mouse is pointed to any address on a route, all addresses of a corresponding order will be displayed on a grey background to allow a user to observe visually all addresses from a single order in a route.

Option 2: Unassigned orders

Add within an unassigned order.

Option 3: New order

Add while a new order is being created.

Add additional info

It's possible to add additional information to each address. To do that, click on the address within a window of a new order or when editing any of the existing orders.

Order

Modify the address, check order status, manage client information and add notes relevant to the order.

πŸ“˜ The Client name field is a drop-down from My clients. Selecting a client fills in phone and email automatically. You can also enter details manually, which will be saved in My clients.

Weight/Time

Specify the loading weight and volume of the cargo.

πŸ“˜ For pick-up and delivery addresses only.

If all pick-up/delivery capacities together in one order exceed the capacity of the vehicle, an error message will be displayed and it won't be possible to save the order. If possible, the addresses can be split into two or more orders.

πŸ”” The vehicle parameters must be set up in the Vehicle settings.

When orders are added to the same route but their total capacity is still exceeded, they can be manually rearranged (changing the sequence). In general, it will exceed capacity if all pick-ups are sequenced one after another.

Launch the optimization and the platform will automatically rearrange the sequence of pick-ups and deliveries. The sequence will be arranged as in the example: pick-up order A (+300 kg), delivery order A (-300 kg), pick-up order B (+300 kg), deliver order B (-300 kg).

Specify the time necessary to load/unload the cargo at the particular address. This information is further used to calculate and consider the total route duration as well as individual address PTAs.

Specify delivery interval by dates from and till. This information is further used to make sure there are no conflicts between set up route dates.

Add time interval when a client is available to work with the delivery. Multiple time intervals can be added. This information is further used to make sure the route is optimised considering allowed time periods.

Check the Frozen cargo field if there will be a specific cargo type.

Attachment

Upload the attachments relevant to the particular address:

Both images and documents may be used as attachments. All the attachments will be visible to a user of the employee app for the particular address on a route.

Attachments can be used to provide a driver with some additional information about the location or the cargo. Attach additional documents related to the delivery.

Statuses of the Addresses

The address is marked as 'Started' in the mobile app.

Loading at the address is in progress.

An attachment is added by either the app user or web user. The attachment can be added at any time - also after the completion of the address/order/route.

The address is completed.

The address is declined.

The completion icon is displayed next to the route name when all addresses on a route have the 'Completed' or 'Declined' status.

πŸ“˜ Optimize feature is inactive since there are no more addresses to be optimized.
