Depositing Kadena (KDA) into your Coinmetro account is quick and straightforward. To ensure your funds arrive safely, it’s important to follow the correct steps and use the unique deposit details provided in your account.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process step by step, so you can securely transfer your KDA and start trading without delays.

Important: Since the announcement that we support K: addresses, all new users will now have a K: address on their Coinmetro account. Previous users can still use their KDA account address without the 'k:'.

🔑 Using TXBUILDER with Chainweaver

  • The TXBUILDER option is mainly for Chainweaver wallets. It is available using the web version of Coinmetro only.

  • On the deposit form, you’ll see two options:

    • Copy KDA account number (recommended for most wallets)

    • Copy TXBUILDER info (for Chainweaver only)

If you want to use the k: protocol and currently have accounts on multiple chains, you’ll need to revise your key on each chain. You can place k: in front of your existing key or replace it entirely.

Important: If you only send funds to the key from the TXBUILDER (instead of the full account name), your deposit won’t be credited automatically and will be delayed. The account name is what uniquely identifies your deposit to your Coinmetro account.

FAQs

🔗 Which chain should I use?

You can deposit KDA on any of the 20 Kadena chains. However, if you are depositing from KuCoin, you must use Chain 1.

🏦 Can I deposit KDA from another exchange?

Not always. Most exchanges don’t allow direct transfers to other exchanges. In this case, you’ll need to use an intermediary wallet such as Zelcore or Chainweaver.

👉 Important Note: Coinmetro is not responsible for KDA sent to the wrong address when using third-party wallets or exchanges. If you can’t withdraw directly to your Coinmetro KDA account, make sure to use an intermediary wallet.

⏳ Why hasn’t my KDA deposit arrived?

If your KDA deposit hasn’t shown up in your Coinmetro account:

  • Allow some time for the transaction to be confirmed on the Kadena blockchain.

  • Double-check you sent funds to the correct deposit address (or TXBUILDER details for Chainweaver).

  • Make sure you included the full account name, not just the key.

  • Check your email in case our compliance team contacted you for extra info.

  • If it’s been a while and your deposit still hasn’t arrived, contact Coinmetro Support with your transaction details.

⚡ Is my KDA account number (wallet address) static?

Yes, your KDA deposit address on Coinmetro is static, meaning it won’t change. You can safely use the same address for all future KDA deposits into your account.

However, if you’re depositing via Chainweaver using TXBUILDER, always make sure to copy the details directly from your Coinmetro deposit page, as the format may look different depending on the wallet you’re using.

If you ever notice a difference or are unsure, please double-check your Coinmetro Dashboard → Deposit → KDA before sending funds.
