Since the announcement that we support K: addresses, all new users will now have a K: address on their Coinmetro account. Previous users can still use their KDA account address without the 'k:'.

How to Deposit KDA

Firstly, when depositing KDA into your Coinmetro account, you will need to find your KDA account number. You can find this by heading to your Coinmetro Dashboard, selecting Deposit

On Desktop or Browser

On the Mobile App

then, select KDA - Kadena from the dropdown list.

You will need to copy your KDA account number (address), or the TXBUILDER information if you are depositing from a Chainweaver wallet, into the withdrawal form on the external wallet.

Paste your account number into the withdrawal form for the external wallet, and confirm the transaction.

We advise firstly sending a small amount of KDA to ensure that the transaction is successful.

TXBUILDER

The TXBuilder is primarily meant to be used in the Chainweaver wallet software.

On the Coinmetro deposit form, you will see that you have the option to either copy your account number (KDA deposit address) or to copy TXBUILDER (for Chainweaver wallets):

If you wish to use the k: protocol and currently have accounts on multiple chains, you’ll need to revise your key on each chain. You can place k: in front of your existing key or replace it entirely.

Important Note

The account name must be attached to your KDA deposit. The account name identifies the deposit to your Coinmetro account. The TXBuilder is primarily meant to be used in the Chainweaver wallet software. If you transfer funds only to the key from the TXBuilder, the deposit will not be credited automatically and will incur a delay. This is because the key is not unique to your Coinmetro account.

FAQ

Which chain should I use?

You can deposit KDA using any one of the 20 Kadena Chains; however, if you are depositing from KuCoin, please ensure that you are using Chain 1.

Can I deposit from another exchange?

Most exchanges cannot transfer directly to other exchanges due to limited implementation. In this case, you will need to use an intermediary wallet such as Zelcore or Chainweaver.

Please note that Coinmetro is not responsible for KDA sent to incorrect addresses using third-party software. If you cannot withdraw KDA to your account number from an exchange, using an intermediary wallet is required to deposit KDA to Coinmetro.
