Introduction
In Bookboost, each operator can be granted access to one or more Apps. An App typically represents a property (e.g. a hotel), although in some specific cases it may refer to other spaces such as a bar or a separate unit β depending on how the client has chosen to set up their account. This article explains what Accessible Apps are and how to manage them.
Main Concept: What Are Accessible Apps?
Accessible Apps define which properties or spaces an operator can see and work within in Bookboost. When an operator logs in, they will only have access to the data, guests, and communications belonging to the Apps assigned to them.
Most clients will simply have their properties set up as Apps. In more specific cases, a client may have additional Apps representing other spaces like a bar or a specific department β but this is the exception, not the norm.
Use Cases
Accessible Apps are useful for:
π¨ Multi-property hotel groups where each operator should only see one or a few specific properties
π Ensuring operators can only access the data relevant to their workplace
π Admins who need to manage which properties each team member can work within
π Situations where an operator's responsibilities change over time and their property access needs to be updated
Configuration and Setup
Only Admin operators can manage Accessible Apps β including adding or removing themselves. To configure Accessible Apps for an operator:
Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
Navigate to Operators.
Select the operator you want to configure, or click + Add new.
Under Accessible Apps, select the properties or apps you want to grant access to.
Click Save to confirm.
Known Issues or Limitations
Admin-only action β Only Admins can change Accessible Apps. Other operators (Service, Marketing) cannot modify their own or others' app access.
Admins can manage their own access β An Admin can add or remove themselves from any App.
Specific App setups β In most cases, Apps represent properties. If your account has Apps set up differently (e.g. a bar or department), this is a specific configuration decided at account setup level.
Conclusion
Accessible Apps give Bookboost admins precise control over which properties each operator can access. This is especially valuable for multi-property groups, ensuring every team member sees only what's relevant to their role. Always review App access when onboarding new operators or when responsibilities change. β
