🤝 Seam Integration

Seam allows hoteliers to automate guest access by retrieving smart lock codes and delivering them through Guest Journey Campaigns, enhancing efficiency and guest experience.

Bookboost has partnered with Seam to enhance guest access management for hoteliers. This integration allows Bookboost to retrieve smart lock access codes from various lock providers and incorporate them into Guest Journey Campaigns, ensuring a seamless and automated communication experience for guests.

By leveraging this integration, hoteliers can send access codes via email, SMS, and other messaging platforms, eliminating manual processes and improving guest satisfaction.


Main Concept

The integration between Bookboost and Seam enables hoteliers to automatically fetch access codes and deliver them to guests at the right time. Key components of this integration include:

  • Device: Represents a smart lock installed in a hotel room.

  • AccessCode: A unique digital key assigned to a guest for room entry.

  • Gate: The link between a hotel room in the property system and its corresponding smart lock.

  • AccessToken: A secure, encrypted credential associated with each AccessCode.

This integration ensures that guests receive their room access details through Bookboost’s automated messaging flows, reducing front desk workload and enhancing the check-in process.

Bookboost's Seam integration supports a wide range of lock providers, allowing hotels to maintain flexibility in their hardware choices. Supported providers include:

Example Case

Automated Guest Check-in

  • Bookboost automatically retrieves the guest's access code from Seam.

  • The code is sent via an automated message (email, SMS, or WhatsApp) before check-in.

  • The guest arrives and enters their room without stopping at the front desk.


⚠️ Known Limitations

  1. Room Changes in Apaleo

    • Currently, automatic code regeneration for room changes is not supported. The original room’s code remains valid for the entire stay.
