πŸ“£ Understanding Behavioural & Campaign Filters in Bookboost Audiences

Introduction

When building an audience in Bookboost, filters are the rules that determine which guest profiles are included in a segment. This article covers Behavioural & Campaign filters β€” filters based on how guests have interacted with your previous campaigns.

These filters allow you to segment guests by their engagement history, helping you reward active contacts, re-engage passive ones, and avoid over-communicating with guests who have recently received messages. 🎯

Main Concept

Behavioural & Campaign filters target data generated by your guests' interactions with campaigns sent through Bookboost. Each filter has an Include or Exclude toggle:

  • Include β€” only guests who match the condition are kept in the audience.

  • Exclude β€” guests who match the condition are removed from the audience.

Filters work with AND logic β€” guests must meet every filter you add to be included.

Filters

πŸ“§ Opened Campaigns

Filters guests who opened a specific campaign email.

  • Select one or more campaigns from the dropdown.

  • All Time toggle β€” when off, activates a time window (e.g. within the last 30 days).

  • Exclude selected β€” removes guests who opened the selected campaign(s). Useful for suppression.

  • Good for broader re-engagement β€” targets guests who showed at least minimal interest.

πŸ‘† Opened and Clicked Campaigns

Filters guests who both opened and clicked a link inside a specific campaign email.

  • Select one or more campaigns from the dropdown.

  • All Time toggle β€” when off, activates a time window.

  • Exclude selected β€” inverts the filter.

  • This is a high-engagement filter β€” these are your most active and interested contacts.

πŸ“¨ Received Previous Campaigns

Filters guests who have already received a specific campaign.

  • Select one or more campaigns from the dropdown.

  • Within X Days β€” define a time window to limit the filter (e.g. received within the last 7 days).

  • Exclude selected β€” removes guests who have already received the campaign. Powerful for suppression β€” avoiding over-communication with guests who were recently messaged.

  • Tip: combine Exclude selected with Within X Days to prevent sending too frequently to the same guests.
