Oaky integration for upselling

Embed a personalised Oaky upsell link in your own Bookboost campaigns, and see the upsell revenue in your campaign reports.

Without the integration, a guest gets two pre-arrival emails: yours from Bookboost, and Oaky's with the upsell offers. With it, the Oaky offers live inside your own email as a personalised link, so the guest gets one message and you see the upsell revenue in your Bookboost campaign reports.

Oaky is an upselling platform for hotels, covering room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, breakfast, parking, and spa packages.

How it works

  1. Your PMS sends the reservation to Oaky. When a booking is created, Oaky receives the details.

  2. Bookboost generates a personalised link. It looks the guest up in Oaky and produces a unique upsell link for that stay.

  3. You add the Oaky link to a campaign. Each guest receives their own.

  4. The guest browses and books. They land on a branded Oaky page showing only what is available for their dates, with dynamic pricing, and book in one click.

  5. Revenue comes back. Oaky sends conversion data to Bookboost, so upsell revenue and conversion rates appear in your campaign reports.

Setting it up

  1. Contact Oaky. Speak to your Oaky Customer Success Manager, or their sales team if you are not yet a customer. You will need to accept Oaky's commercial terms and a data processing agreement with Bookboost.

  2. Oaky onboards your property and connects it to the Bookboost integration on their side.

  3. Share the hotel code with us. Oaky issues a hotel_code for your property. Send it to your Bookboost contact or to support@bookboost.io.

  4. We complete the setup, usually within 3 to 4 business days of receiving the hotel code.

  5. Test it. Add the Oaky link to a campaign, send a test against a real reservation, and click through to confirm it loads the Oaky guest page.

Only reservations created after setup completes will work. Oaky has to receive the booking from your PMS first, so bookings that already existed have no Oaky link.

Using it in a campaign

Once the integration is active, add the personalised Oaky link as the destination of a button or link in the campaign editor. A typical setup is a pre-arrival email with an "Upgrade your stay" button. It works in email, WhatsApp, and SMS campaigns, though pre-arrival email is the common case.

On timing, Oaky recommends two sends: one around 21 days before arrival, and one around 3 days before.

What this does not do

  • It does not work retroactively. Reservations created before setup will not produce a link.

  • You need an Oaky account. The integration connects two products you already have. If you are not an Oaky customer, start at oaky.com or email support@oaky.com.

  • Revenue tracking is a separate step. It needs a webhook configured on top of the main setup. If your reports show zero Oaky revenue despite confirmed bookings on Oaky's side, that webhook is the likely cause.

  • PMS support is Oaky's, not ours. The integration works with any PMS Oaky supports. Opera Cloud and Mews are fully tested; others are supported but may need a validation step during setup.

If something is not working

The link shows a 404. The reservation is not in Oaky yet, usually because it was created before the integration was set up, or because Oaky has not processed it. Wait a few hours and try again, then contact support if it persists.

The Oaky link does not render in the campaign preview. The integration is probably not configured for your property. Email support@bookboost.io to confirm.

No Oaky revenue in your reports. The revenue webhook may not be set up. Contact support@bookboost.io and we will check it.
