By default your campaigns send from a @bookboostmail.com address. You can put your own domain on the from and reply-to addresses instead, so guests see mail from your hotel rather than from your software.
This is not self-service, because it needs DNS records published on your side. Email support and we set it up together.
What to send us
Email support@bookboost.io with three things:
The domain you want to send from.
The send-from address you want, for example reservations@yourhotel.com.
The reply-to address, if it differs from the send-from address.
Sending all three at once saves a round of questions, which is usually a day.
What happens next
We add the domain to our records and send you the DNS records to publish.
You, or whoever manages your domain, add those records to its DNS settings.
Once they resolve, Bookboost can send on your behalf and your campaigns come from your own address.
Allow time for this. DNS changes are not instant and they depend on your side rather than ours, so do not plan a campaign launch around the same day.
You still need to redirect replies
This is the step people miss, and it is the one that costs you guest messages.
Once your reply-to address is your own, guest replies go to that inbox and not to Bookboost. They land in whoever's mailbox owns reservations@yourhotel.com, and they never appear in the Unified Inbox.
To fix that, forward the address to your Bookboost forward address. See Redirect replies to Bookboost, and set it up at the same time rather than afterwards.
What this does not do
It does not change the web messenger address. That one stays on the Bookboost domain so messages route correctly. Only its display name can change. See Email settings.
It does not redirect replies for you. Sending and receiving are separate, and receiving is your forwarding rule.
It is not immediate. The DNS records have to be published and resolve first.
Changing the display name is different. That you can do yourself in settings, without involving support at all.
What to do next
See Email settings for the four addresses behind your account and which of them this affects.
